The Delaware Canal towpath runs from Easton to Bristol for approximately 60 miles along the Delaware River. The canal path was originally built in the early 1800s and was used by mule teams to pull the barges along the canal. Today it is a National Heritage Hiking Trail used for everything from biking and hiking to cross-country skiing.
