Cranks Around the Campfire Finalized Schedule and Roll Call

Only a few days out and the weekend looks to be just about perfect! Really a stark contrast of the weather we had for last year's 24HOA! Hope everyone can make it out for a few days or even just a few hours to enjoy this exciting new event!

Here is the final schedule of events:

1st Annual Cranks Around the Campfire Schedule

Friday 12pm
Check-ins begin. When entering camp stay straight on access road. Road will lead straight to registration area. From there, you can proceed straight up the hill to the camping sites to unload and set up. Bracelets will be given to all participants. Please keep on for entire visit at the camp.

Friday 3pm
First Timer clinic: Come out and learn the basics of mountain biking. After this clinic you'll have the know-how to start mastering the trails. Bikes available on a first come, first serve basis($5 rental fee).

Friday 6pm
Group Ride with Megan Schmidt from Marty's Reliable Cycle. Intermediate level ride through Stephens Park begins promptly at 6pm. Megan is planning on riding to lower Saxton, the Tilcon loop, "jump" connector trail. So plan on about 12 miles of singletrack and some back roads of Waterloo.
Riders should meet at the Volleyball court a little before 6pm.

Friday 9pm
Reservation Night Ride
Ride the TT loop solo or in a group. Ride it once forward then in reverse to mix it up.
(two light sources required)

Saturday 9am
Group Ride with Richard Zipper. Beginner level ride on the trails of Allamuchy. Ride begins promptly at 9am. Riders should meet at the Volleyball court.

Saturday 9am
Group ride. Advanced level ride hitting all the good stuff in Allamuchy. 12-15 miles on trails such as Rollie Pollie, Candyass, and Lumpy Bumpy with some nice singletrack in between to recover. . Leader is Chris Santalucia of 26” wheeled MTBNJ fame. Ride begins promptly at 9am. Riders should meet at the Volleyball court.

Saturday 9am
Group Ride. Intermediate level ride in Allamuchy. Leader TBA. Ride begins promptly at 9am. Riders should meet at the Volleyball court.

Saturday 10am
Learn to Mountain Bike Clinic. All ages welcome. Ride around Frenches Pond.
Meet at volleyball court.
*If you need a bike meet at the Red Barn at 9:30am.

Saturday 2pm
Open Bike Polo! at Vollers Field. Equipment provided.
Bring water, helmet, and a bike with platform pedals.

Saturday 9pm
Movie Night! Come enjoy the double feature! "24 Solo" and "Race Across the Sky" playing on the big screen in the dining hall. Bring snacks and a camp chair.

Sunday 9am-12pm
Open Time Trial Competition. Test your skills on the challenging trails around the reservation. Bib is included with registration. $10 gets you 3 runs. Riders will go out at 2 minute intervals. Course will be around 5 miles.

Sunday 5pm
Camper deadline for checkout

Don't forget to bring some spending money for the dining hall and the time trial. There will be water and Gatorade available for sale from the Boy Scouts. There will be swimming in the lake but only when the lifeguard is on duty. Please remember to wear your helmet whenever you are riding no matter how short the duration.
