Dear Lehigh Gap Nature Center Members and Friends,

Greetings -- Lehigh Gap is getting greener by the day, and we have been seeing a Bald Eagle around lately, so fall migration cannot be far away.

On Saturday, August 11 from 9:00 to Noon we will be having our Summer Clean-up work day and Habitat Garden project.

There is much to be done.

Habitat Garden project -- we need to weed and mulch the beds, some plants still need labels, and we need to plan our next plantings.

Our hawk count intern moves in on the 14th -- we need to get the Osprey House ready for her. Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom need to be cleaned.

We need a trail crew to clear brush along the D&L Trail and another to work on digging the Chestnut Oak Trail into the side of the mountain. Some trails need weedwhacking and trimming.

There are paths to mow and invasive plants to be eradicated.

Bring your own gloves or use ours. If you have a favorite tool or supplies to do a certain job, bring it along, but we will supply tools as well. We need lots of help. Hope you can make it.

Thanks.

Dan
