Valley Mountain Bikers currently offers memberships at a rate of $20 for an Individual, and $5 for each additional family member. Our insurance premium is based on the number of members we have, which currently averages out to $7-8 per member. Therefore, each family member that joins/renews results is a negative cost for our organization. Additionally, processing the additional family membership accounts to ensure they have proper membership cards, website access, etc. is very cumbersome. Possible solutions were discussed at the past couple of Board and Membership meetings, and the following change was agreed to:
Effective July 1, VMB will only offer Individual memberships at $20.
VMB appreciates our membership and their continued support, and hope everyone understands this change improves our financial and volunteer resources.
