Coronavirus: Ride, Event, and Trail Update

VMB members and friends, we all know how important riding is, especially in challenging times like these. But we also want to do our part to keep everyone in our riding community safe and healthy. Following guidance from the CDC and local health officials, we’ll be suspending group rides and all other events through at least March. Due to scheduling and other uncertainties, we’ll also cancel the Ramble in the Bramble kids’ Easter Ride in April. We encourage everyone to get out for rides (alone or with family members you live with is the safest option right now, and no matter who you ride with, don’t blow snot rockets). If you do go ride, please respect any park closures. We’ll do our best to notify everyone of changes to the status of our trail systems. For now Trex, Sals, South Mountain Emmaus, Jordan, and Jacobsburg remain open. Nockamixon State Park has closed its facilities, but the trails there are still under seasonal closure.  We’re compiling info now on which local shops are offering repairs or other services now. We’ll try to get that info out to everyone tonight so you can keep your bikes working and support our local businesses any way you safely can.

Be well everyone, and ride safely and responsibly.
