Hi—

I’m the event director of Cycle Greater Yellowstone, a new week-long road-bike tour that will have its inaugural ride in August 2013. It’s the first time a large-scale, fully supported tour has gone through this incredibly scenic area.

We’re reaching out to bike clubs all across America, because it’s a perfect ride for a group of club friends – an epic journey through Big Sky Country and the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. World-famous fly-fishing streams, river valleys framed by jagged peaks, serpentine passes over majestic mountains… well, you can see it all on our website, along with details about the catered food, hot showers, live entertainment and more.

We already have more than 500 cyclists registered, mostly through the “friends-and-family” social network. But we’re going to take 1,000 riders on this journey – we have room for more.

And we’re offering a small but cool enticement for club groups: If five riders from your club sign up, they’ll all get free customized, flexible Silipint beer mugs – perfect for hoisting in the CGY beer garden after another amazing day in the saddle.

I hope you agree that this is an event your club members will want to know about. I’d appreciate it if you’d spread the word to riders who will be interested. If you’re inclined to send an email or put a note in your club newsletter, I’ve included a couple pieces of copy below that you can use if you like. And you can send folks to our Facebook page, too. But even just a mention to a few riding partners will generate excitement.

If you have any questions, or want any photos or a logo file, just drop me a line or give me a call anytime. Hope to see you – and some of your club friends – at CGY this summer!
