I was disappointed to see Karen declined her nomination to the board and fearing having to compete against Karen's new club I had to find out what was up. Karen let me know everything is fine with VMB but when learning more about Community Bike Works she really liked what they are doing and said she would like to become more involved with their organization. I completely understand and feel bad we lost a great board member but Karen says she is not abandoning the club and will continue to lead the women's group and Take a Kid Mountain Biking day. Karen will be our liaison to Community Bike Works further engaging the club in their mission. I fully support her decision and the club supports her mission.
